I'm currently reading Mercedes Lackey's Last Herald-Mage of Valdemar trilogy. I'm only on Magic's Pawn (the first book), but it's really good so far. I'm just hoping that Vanyel finally manages to catch a break for once in his life.
I still can't believe that there are major characters named Starwind and Moondance, though.

I also re-read Purple Haze Feedback a few weeks ago. I still really like. If you're a JoJo fan who's read part 5, you really need to read this book. It gives Fugo some pretty great character development.

Did I mention I'm now current with Berserk?  The manga, not the anime.  papaya  this manga is good.

I've also been watching KonoSuba as of late.  I'm enjoying it quite a bit!

In the spring and summer I've also watched all of the Monogatari series, and I'm absolutely in love with it.  The last couple of seasons were starting to drag a bit after the Sodachi arc, but the ending made up for all of it, it was incredible.  Also, Monogatari Second Season when taken alone might just be in my top three anime of all time; it's that good.

I've been reading through The Dark Tower lately, and I'm loving it so far!  The worldbuilding and lore is just so unique and creative and bizarre; I've never read anything like it before.  I'm a little over halfway through book 6 now.

Is anyone keeping up with Rick and Morty?  This season is so great.

I need to watch the new Twin Peaks as well.  I was watching a bit of it but decided I wanted to binge it when it was all over instead.  I was loving what I saw though.

My video game life recently has been pretty much just replaying all of Dark Souls and Bloodborne over and over again.  I'm completely in love with those games now.

I also got through Breath of the Wild over the summer which was fantastic.  Not quite as good as people were hyping it out to be, but really good and memorable regardless.

Also Hiveswap was really good, really short and not much more than what I was expecting it to be but really great for Homestuck fans.

Why is designing turn-based strategy games so hard.

The last two movies I've watched in theaters (and honestly  in general) were It and mother! It was one of the best conventional horror films I've seen in a while.  It dragged a bit in the middle and it wasn't all that scary, but the story was really good, and it kept me on the edge of my seat.  mother was some of the most grapefruited up mandarin I've ever seen in my life; I literally couldn't sleep for hours that night because I was so disturbed.  Though, I did enjoy it, it's not Aronofsky's best work, but it's an incredibly powerful artistic statement, and it does an incredible job at creating a tense, claustrophobic atmosphere.  It's not for everyone, but if you can stomach it and enjoy surreal, allegorical art films I'd recommend it.

Other than that, the best films I've seen this year are Get Out, Logan, Wonder Woman, Baby Driver, Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Big Sick and Dunkirk.  Worst was The Emoji Movie which I saw because I worked at a movie theater and got free tickets and wanted to see how bad it was.  It was very, very bad.

The two films I'm looking forward to the most this fall are The Disaster Artist and The Shape of Water.  I'd advise people look into them; The Disaster Artist is a fictionalized account of the story behind the making of Tommy Wiseau's The Room, and The Shape of Water seems like a really unique take on a monster movie/romance story directed by Guillermo del Toro.  Early reviews for both have been great as well; The Shape of Water specifically has been called del Toro's best film since Pan's Labyrinth, which is HUGE praise in my opinon.

So I'm taking six classes this semester, two of which are extremely work heavy Game Design classes.  Somehow I'm not dying- though that may change as the semester goes on.

I'm also absolutely terrified because I'm graduating this year ahhhhhh
