Yay, Ww is back!  <3

Updates / 7th arc
« on: June 08, 2017, 12:23:36 AM »
Kate's confirmed on her Facebook page that there'll be a seventh arc but that the storyline hasn't been decided yet.

Fan: Hey. I've heard Harper Collins said that there will be a seven arc of Warriors and novella about Crowfeather. Is it try?
/sorry for my english it's not my native language/

Kate: There is definitely going to be a seventh arc of Warriors!

Kate: The storyline has yet to be determined, but I'm loving your speculations.

Dunno if you folks remember when we made a TV Tropes page about the Warriors official forum kinda poking fun at it, but it's gone now since pages troping real people aren't allowed (generalized as it may be).

So, for anyone who wants to see/save it now that it's gone:

Here is an archive of the page:

The Funny page:

The YMMV page:

The page about Warriors Wish seems to still be intact at this point.

Updates / Vicky Leaving Warriors
« on: April 24, 2017, 10:50:59 PM »
So, this doesn't come as much of a surprise since Vicky hasn't been involved in the main series since the start of Dawn of the Clans, but she's still been writing the novellas since then.

She said on Facebook today that Spottedleaf's Heart and Pinestar's Choice were her last Warriors works (note that Thunderstar's Echo was by someone new named Clarissa Hutton), and later clarified that it was because partway through Pinestar's Choice she'd felt like she'd written all she could about the Clans and that it was time to move on.

*raises head above ruined parapet, adjusts hard hat*

Is it safe for me to come out now? Wow. In my head, I've written ten thousand words to all of you, justifying and explaining and apologising and trying to find some perspective. But I don't think that's healthy for any of us. So I'll keep this brief.

First of all, I continue to be extremely grateful to Su Susann for answering the many, many questions on this page. Her role as a Wiki editor has been invaluable, as she has far more instant knowledge of the characters than I do. I can look everything up, of course, but I am busy and it has been lovely to have someone dealing with queries far more promptly than I ever could.

I am also grateful to Susi for posting her ideas for the Missing Kits on this page. I have said it before and I'll say it again, these are Susi's suggestions, NOT canon. I have no intention of rewriting the entire series to make use of her characters, adorable though many of them are. I thought it would be fun to let Susi share her OCs, and prompt discussion about your own ideas. In the early days of Warriors, I worked from very limited cast lists, never dreaming that one day people would want to know entire family trees! I have always been honoured and delighted when people put forward their suggestions for extra characters. Clearly I misjudged the reception Susi would get, and I am very, very sorry for that.

As far as Spottedleaf's Heart is concerned, there's nothing I can say that will make everybody happy. Just bear in mind that I read your criticism, and I do listen, and I am also human and capable of being hurt. I'm not asking anyone to feel sorry for me - goodness knows, I'm not the best writer in the world and with every book I write, I strive to improve and learn more about this craft.

You are all amazing. You are all, in your own way, superfans. I have got to know so many personalities through this page - even if you might think I haven't noticed you. Warriors has been the greatest blessing, the greatest privilege, the sharpest learning curve of my life. But nothing lasts forever. I won't be writing for the series again. I will keep this page so that I can update you with movie news (oh please let there be some news soon!). And maybe I'll pop in to share my new projects with you. But the latest series continues to top the bestselling charts, which proves what a fabulous job the new editorial team is doing (with the ongoing brilliance of Kate and Cherith, of course).

Thank you for everything, you crazy lovelies. Be safe, and be kind.

Vicky x

Oh sweethearts, I'm not leaving because of the Spottedleaf furore. I won't deny it's been painful, but I'm tougher than that!

I always told myself that I would know when I had written all the cat stories I had inside me. That time came with Pinestar's Choice. I know there are a thousand more tales from the Clans to be told, but other people are doing a great job of that.

I had hoped to go out with a triumphant bang rather than a clatter of outrage, but I guess we don't always get what we wish for. I

Thank you for all the lovely comments. I'm not disappearing in a puff of smoke, I'll still be here! And I'm sure I'll find the flimsiest of excuses to pop up on this page now and again.

All my love
Vicky x

The WarriorCats page on TV Tropes is finally long enough that the page had to be split!  It was a Wishian that first created said page, correct?  I know that Ww is where I first saw the link to it.

I'm basically a textbook ISTJ.  My best internet friend took the quiz and he's an ENTP, almost the exact opposite of me, and it pretty much exactly describes him.   We find it kind of amusing that we get along so well.

Bumping this thread up 'cause I went to a local con two weeks ago.

This year I'm in a RWBY obsession, so I cosplayed as Yang - and this was my first time sewing a costume 100% on my own.  I've really never sewed anything more difficult than a pillow, and the jacket was the hardest part - the pattern's instructions weren't clear so I just did my own thing - but I think it turned out pretty decent overall. I'm especially proud of the skirt and gauntlets.

I got to meet and get an autograph from Brina Palencia (Holo from Spice and Wolf), and Arryn Zech (Blake from RWBY).    When we were doing the scheduled RWBY cosplay meetup, Arryn just happened to walk past the room, and she came in and was just so excited and overwhelmed to see everyone in cosplay.

Some of my favorite pics from the RWBY cosplay meetup:

what sun/moon starters did y'all pick?
I started with Litten, and I've named him Taiko (from the Maori word for tiger, "taika").

I'm mainly a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series - Skyrim is my favorite since I played it first, but the others are pretty great too.
If you've heard of the UESP wiki (which btw is a lot older and better than the Wikia, and I'm talking as someone who discovered the Wikia first), I'm one of the top 40-some editors on the wiki, admin its forum, and co-run its FB page.

I'm also a collector of Elder Scrolls merch; here's my collection.

One of my other favorite games is Watch_Dogs, and I'm really excited for the second game coming to PC next week.

Other games I'm currently playing:
- Shadowverse (Hearthstone-esque mobile card game whose main difference is card "evolution")
- Elder Scrolls: Legends (also Hearthstone-esque card game whose main difference is that the playing field is split into two halves that mostly can't interact, though I'm mainly doing wiki stuff about it at the moment)
- Pokemon Moon

The cover/date/price is on HarperCollins Catalogs, so I've added that to the first post.

That's really exciting!  I have a lot more hope for this movie now.

Also,  "live-action film with computer-generated characters", interesting.
