The WarriorCats page on TV Tropes is finally long enough that the page had to be split!  It was a Wishian that first created said page, correct?  I know that Ww is where I first saw the link to it.

I'm basically a textbook ISTJ.  My best internet friend took the quiz and he's an ENTP, almost the exact opposite of me, and it pretty much exactly describes him.   We find it kind of amusing that we get along so well.

Bumping this thread up 'cause I went to a local con two weeks ago.

This year I'm in a RWBY obsession, so I cosplayed as Yang - and this was my first time sewing a costume 100% on my own.  I've really never sewed anything more difficult than a pillow, and the jacket was the hardest part - the pattern's instructions weren't clear so I just did my own thing - but I think it turned out pretty decent overall. I'm especially proud of the skirt and gauntlets.

I got to meet and get an autograph from Brina Palencia (Holo from Spice and Wolf), and Arryn Zech (Blake from RWBY).    When we were doing the scheduled RWBY cosplay meetup, Arryn just happened to walk past the room, and she came in and was just so excited and overwhelmed to see everyone in cosplay.

Some of my favorite pics from the RWBY cosplay meetup:

what sun/moon starters did y'all pick?
I started with Litten, and I've named him Taiko (from the Maori word for tiger, "taika").

I'm mainly a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series - Skyrim is my favorite since I played it first, but the others are pretty great too.
If you've heard of the UESP wiki (which btw is a lot older and better than the Wikia, and I'm talking as someone who discovered the Wikia first), I'm one of the top 40-some editors on the wiki, admin its forum, and co-run its FB page.

I'm also a collector of Elder Scrolls merch; here's my collection.

One of my other favorite games is Watch_Dogs, and I'm really excited for the second game coming to PC next week.

Other games I'm currently playing:
- Shadowverse (Hearthstone-esque mobile card game whose main difference is card "evolution")
- Elder Scrolls: Legends (also Hearthstone-esque card game whose main difference is that the playing field is split into two halves that mostly can't interact, though I'm mainly doing wiki stuff about it at the moment)
- Pokemon Moon

That's really exciting!  I have a lot more hope for this movie now.

Also,  "live-action film with computer-generated characters", interesting.

Scourge/Violet Scarletshipping-Instead of simply separating Barley and Violet, Scourge decides a much better punishment would be to force Barley to watch Violet die a bloody, scarlet death.
I remember this one was because when you combine the start of Scourge's name and the end of Violet's name, it's very close to the word "Scarlet".

Updated, and also added one each to Ravenpaw's Farewell and Hawkwing's Journey.

The only one I didn't add was this one:
Quote from: Spellmaster
when the moor cats head home from fourtrees, they travel through a stretch of forest, where they meet the three new rogues hiding in the underbrush. I don't know exactly how accurate the map is, but it shows no forest between fourtrees and the moor...

The map isn't always entirely accurate, so I wouldn't base it on that.  I know they've described the area directly around Fourtrees somewhat inconsistently in the past, too - I do think that they might've mentioned there being trees there before.

Latest Release / Hawkwing's Journey Discussion (unmarked spoilers)
« on: November 03, 2016, 12:03:38 AM »
So, what did you think of the latest Super Edition?

- Gosh this was a depressing book. I liked that about it.  It was done in a... realistic way, I guess?  No cat was safe, young or old, and it was a variety of things that took them away.  It was also some pretty major characters, too.  And it started right off the bat with Duskpaw.  I think this book possibly has the highest body count of any book in the series so far.

- Good characterization overall, I felt.   Hawk x Pebble seemed sudden, but it was cute.  I also liked his friendship with Plumwillow after they lost their mates, and how it didn't have to be a romantic one. They were good for each other and I like the way Plumwillow said "We had a lot to talk about"; something about that line just stood out and made the characters feel more real.  Curlypaw was adorable.

- Disappointed that several cats seem to have vanished with no explanation from previous books.  Ravenpaw's Farewell made sense since Vicky said that she was pushing the character limit and couldn't put everyone into the novella, and could only list the ones that appeared in it in the Allegiances.  There were some in this that weren't in that one, but still: what happened to Egg, Petalnose, Shrewtooth, Rockshade, and Creekfeather?  And where did Mistfeather appear from? He was mentioned like once and seems to only have been thrown in, in order to appear in the main series.

- They were so hinting that Violet and Twig are his kits.  I wonder what will happen when they reach the Clans (and presumably defeat the rogues): get their own territory nearby?   Or split among them?
