Now that I'm not as busy, I'm finally able to play Trails in the Sky again. I just finished Chapter 2 today.

My favorite is actually Mousefur, who isn't listed on the poll. I think Yellowfang would probably be my favorite out of the poll options.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I didn't forget about this or anything. I'm still planning on doing the first movie night relatively soon, but I've just been super busy with school recently.

Is the weather like really all over the place for everyone else too? Because for me its alternating between mid-winter and mid-spring almost daily.
Yeah, it's been doing the same thing here. It's been going back and forth from the kind of weather we get in December to the kind we get in April or May. It's super weird.

I think it's been long enough for me to double post now.

I've been reading Dune, and I just got to the halfway point. Man, this book is LONG (~900 pages). It really took a while for the plot to start moving, but things are finally actually happening. Paul is kind of a Mary Sue so far, but I've heard that he gets better later on, so I'll have to see how that turns out. I have to say, though, the worldbuilding is fantastic. You can really tell the importance of water on Arrakis just by how it permeates through their whole culture. It looks like the Fremen are going to have a lot more focus on them now, so I'm looking forward to seeing what the author did with them.
Also, I can't decide if Duncan Idaho is the worst or greatest name I've ever heard.

Haven't fully decided on a date/time for the first actual movie night, but as of right now, I'm planning on watching The Princess Bride.

Also, before I forget: we should totally have a movie night at some point to watch National Treasure and Space Jam. It's been too long since I've watched either of those.

Okay, so I'm thinking of doing a test stream tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. EST. Not a formal movie night or anything; just want to check and make sure everything's set up right. I'll post a link later, so everyone's welcome to drop by if they're able!

EDIT: Link is here. I'll add the link to the first post later.

Bringing this thread back from the dead.

I finally got around to actually watching Akira (I've been meaning to watch it since middle school). It was SO GOOD. The whole movie was amazing, especially the soundtrack, animation, and the overall aesthetic of the film. Man, that animation must have taken forever to do. It was so incredibly detailed, and it was absolutely amazing to watch.
So yeah, 10/10, quite possibly my new favorite movie, absolute masterpiece, go watch it.

Princess Bride is a classic.
I love that movie! I'd totally be up for watching that one if I can find a streaming link that'll work.

I'm still trying to figure out the best date/time, but thanks to everyone who's responded so far!
I'm thinking of doing a test stream just to make sure I have the settings for Rabbit set up right, so that might happen this weekend. It'd probably just be YouTube videos and stuff like that; I just want to get any issues figured out before the actual movie nights start.

Random Babble / Ww Movie Nights Round 2
« on: March 13, 2017, 12:10:37 AM »
So, we used to do weekly movie nights back in 2015. I really enjoyed them and wanted them to start up again, and it sounds like a lot of other people felt the same. Therefore, I'm willing to start up movie nights again!
I'll be using Rabbit, which is the same program we were using for movie nights before (assuming that it works right for everyone and all that). I just wanted to get everybody's input on two things:
- What dates/times work for everyone?
- What kind of movies are you guys interested in watching?

If anyone has any other questions/comments/suggestions, feel free to post those too!
