Random Babble / I'm alive again!
« on: May 17, 2018, 07:27:38 PM »
I've been trying to find this forum for the past month and I've finally found it! Y'all are like page 3 on Google, that needs some work.

SO. How are you guys doing today?  :cheesy:

Read this carefully, if you do that you can see that they dodge the question entirely. They have given no reason on why the forum's shutting down. This can only lead us to speculate why they aren't answering the question and what's so secret that it can't be told.

If it was truly upkeep or something else they'd tell us, but all they're giving us is "as technology changes, so must we." That isn't even a valid reason. Is something much more sinister behind the closure?

Suggestions and Questions / I have an idea to revive the forum.

We could go to the official Warrior Cats forums and advertise there as they're shutting down. We do kind of need to do it fast before it does shut down truly.

The Books / Is Dawn of the Clans a one time thing?
« on: August 03, 2016, 05:43:07 AM »
When I heard that DotC was coming out back in late 2012 I was extremely happy, it was finally a break from the good old story we've been following for a long time. I've been reading it and enjoying it a lot so far, as I'm on the 5th book the end of the series draws near. I thought AVoS was a continuation of it, but it seems to be not the case. I later saw that A Vision of Shadows was centered around Bramblestar's camp. While it is exciting that we're finally back to the main storyline. I REALLY want to explore the dawn of the clans MUCH further. I'm too emotionally invested right now to just leave it be at the end of the sixth book. Has there been any plans for a whole storyline dedicated to the second part of Dawn of the Clans?

It's come to my attention that there are a lot of memories on that forum and would love to help you  guys archive it, but that is a task too big for an individual or a small group of people. All I can do is show you how to easily archive the various pages on that forum. If it works for you guys, please let me know as I haven't tested out yet but I will when I'm done writing this post.

  • Go to http://archive.is/
  • Have a new tab opened and go to the page on the WC forum that you want to archive. Copy the URL.
  • Go to the archive.is tab and paste it in the red box at the top.
  • Click "Save the page" for it to begin archiving.
  • You'll see data packets being sent back and forth that the archive site captures to create an accurate representation of the website. Don't worry and let it do its thing.
  • After it's done you will be taken to a page that looks something like this: http://archive.is/(numbers and letters.) That's the unique URL you can always use to go back to the page. Bookmark it and keep it somewhere safe where it won't be lost in the mists of data and time.

Hope this helps you guys, godspeed.

EDIT: It does in fact work, to see what an archived page looks like, go here: http://archive.is/AkbNp

I feel like I'm in the deadzone, there's inactivity here, but this might as well be the most active Warriors forum right now. I've been foruming for a long time, but I think I might have just found my new home here. I love foruming and consider it an essential part of my system, but it seems to me that I'm always attached to just one forum. Enough about the rants and let's get to the bants (or should we say introduction? I just wanted something to rhyme!)

Alright guys, I'm 16 and male. I've had an interest in Warriors ever since I picked up the second book one Wednesday afternoon, the February of 2012 in my school's library. The charm of the book appealed to me so much. The gore and violence kept me in awe whilst the deaths kept me in tears. (I couldn't help but shed some tears when QR was talking to CS. That last part at the end. Damn.)

Another thing that I'm an aficionado in is rap. Rap is the core of me, I love anything hip hop and that ranges from Tupac to Kendrick Lamar to Biggie. It defines me and has taken a big influence in my life. I love to write raps of my own no matter how dorky they seem (not sure if they'd be PG enough for this forum to share, but we'll see. :})

I would LOVE to meet all the regulars around here, I'd love to cry with you over pointless deaths as well as laugh with you over pointless quarrels.
