Fantasy Cats
« on: June 29, 2015, 09:53:08 AM »
My friend Katy and I were having a discussion a while ago about which cats would be particular fantasy races/classes/etc.

Dwarves would be Manx cats, as they're short and chunky (or, as it's known in cats, "cobby").
Elves would be Orientals; pale and willowy, with long pointed ears.
Half-elves would therefore be Burmese cats, as they have attributes of both Oriental and European breeds.
Halflings/hobbits would be Munchkins, as they're small but not cobby.
Due to being one of the few cats fond of water, Turkish Vans would be mermaids.
Wizards would of course be Persians, because look at that beard.
Your standard, unremarkable humans would be European Shorthairs, as their breed specification is basically to look as unremarkable as possible.
Norwegian Forest Cats would either be whatever the closest thing in the setting to Vikings is, or alternatively, that one hermit you meet up in the mountains.
Maine Coons would be giants, as they're bloody enormous.

If anyone else has any ideas, feel free to share them ^_^

Thank you, Wolfie!
