ONCE MORE WITH FEELING

because last time I only got through like 12 of them,,, but I think I'm going to try some different things this time. for reference my last attempt is here. I don't think my art has improved much since then but again, my goal is just to force myself to finish and post things even if I don't think they're good so I'll get that ~learning experience~

feel free to comment or offer suggestions! I know I'm not great with anatomy or shading or arty things like that but if you have advice on anything specific I would welcome the help

I love the way these look like little flags, I've been stalking this thread and Starclan and Bloodclan are definitely my faves so far ^__^

thanks!! I'm glad you think they look like flags because that whole clan banner vibe is totally what I'm going for
~minimalist posters~

9. The Tribe of Rushing Water

this is the last one I actually had a plan for... but there's still two (five? seven??) more in the series... hmm

10. The Tribe of Endless Hunting

tbh I do not associate the tribe with golds and purples but I'm running out of colors
also I... did not realize how similar it is to the bloodclan one whoops

11. The Ancients

I barely remember anything about the ancients from the earlier books but I'm reading The Sun Trail... that counts right

incidentally I think this is my new favorite :3c

GUESS WHO'S BACK
BACK AGAIN

I thought these two were in the other order

12. Rogue

13. Loner

I don't know what the difference between a rogue and a loner is... are rogues cats who were expelled from clans, and loners just don't have clans?? I always think of rogues as vicious and loners as just chillin by themselves

thanks!!

14. Kittypet

I had other plans for the next few (this one was originally more of a painting thing), but they were frustrating me, so I went back to the old theme because it's easier and I am weak
maybe someday when I learn lighting I'll finish the painting anyway

15. LionClan

16. TigerClan

it's not quite what I was going for (I can't figure out how to do a ripple effect...??) but. it's done. another thing to revisit someday I guess

Kittypet one is really good! I think the picture looks well balanced, somehow, and the colors work together nicely, and the anatomy on the cat is very good too.

I think you did a nice job on the lionclan one, I definitely dig the concept and I think you did capture the fact that the bottom half is supposed to be a reflection.

:D yeah the kittypet was probably one of the few I actually used refs for, I know I should but I frequently don't,,, though it also helps that it's a very specific and common pose
and I'm glad, the actual water effect stumped me but I think this fits the simplistic theme more anyway

edited tigerclan into my last post, you can probably tell why it took so long. I'm still not happy with the stripes but I wanted to be Done
I knew not writing down my process for the lionclan one would come back to bite me (it doesn't help that I don't even have the same photoshop now)... I had to approximate the steps and tbh I didn't try too hard but. it's close enough

no idea what I'm going to do next ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

I honestly think those stripes look fantastic, and even if you didn't save your process both pieces feel like they belong together
