Just some WIP's of a traditional commission I'm doing for a co-worker. He wanted his little bug-eyed kitten drawn as a gift to his gf so here's how it's turning out so far~ I'm working in Pen & Colored Pencil.

Along with the Kitten, I started drawing this handsome doge. RIP to my gel pen who's working so hard but I still have to furiously shake every 5 seconds. Time for an upgrade~

Very Impressive work! Especially for realism, I find (both in my own works and it others) hat it is very difficult to get the side to side proportions right and can very easy look off. Your's on the other hand doesn't have that problem. Also using dogs to shade with white pen looks great! It must be painstaking though.

Thank you SS!
Felt my signature is too large and too lazy to resize at the moment

Thank you! It really is difficult to get proportions right, they're one of the most difficult things I think xP
And a complete pain in the ass tbh my gel pen doesn't like to work for more than 5 seconds lmao

I always seem to look at this thread when you're posting very delicious looking food... Also, that bug-eyed kitten from a few posts back looks absolutely adorable.

The game is on again- a lover or a friend?

Sweeeeet literally

I am curious, how long do you usually spend on average to finish a painted piece like this?

Ahh, usually 2-3 days but only because I work on it sporadically at home and during lunch at work. I'd like to pump out one every day but I just don't have the time or patience for that xP

Haven't updated in a minute and it's making me antsy so here's proof of my productivity an art dump.

I'm at the end stages of completing a commission but my creativity is drawing thin so to rejuvenate myself I've been going back to traditional drawing before I dive into digital once more. These are all WIP's and that's driving me crazy but I hope to get at least something done soon. Also, shouts out to asel art for hooking me up with brand new inking pens and white gel pens that work absolutely flawlessly.

I am finally done with this commission! Time to move on to my next project, which I will upload WIPs when I start. This project was done in pen and colored pencil. This was a commission for a co-worker of his kitten, Tiny, as an anniversary present to his girlfriend. I sealed and re-purposed an old envelope holding high school graduation papers to keep this safe until he gives it to her. I even decorated the outside with her name and stickers~

I am completely done with drawing plastic for awhile. I think I got a little sloppy with the background towards the end but honestly it's excusable when I aimed to keep the kitten the main focus of this piece. I'm very happy with my pen work and will continue to experiment with pens in future work.

This turned out soooooooo good! You did a good job on the background and it looks like real plastic! I love it so much and I'm really amazed by it! I'm sure your coworker's girlfriend will simply love and adore it. <3
