Ravenpaw's fate ~ How did it happen? (Spoilers: The Ultimate Guide!)

Ravenpaw is confirmed dead in The Ultimate Guide, and his death will be shown in Ravenpaw's Farewell, a 2016 e-book. How do you think he died?

I'm thinking that he got really sick and died a slow death (or had Barley mercy kill him?), but I could also imagine some jerk creating a new BloodClan that killed Ravenpaw, or Ravenpaw falling off the roof and dying.

Hmm... I honestly thought he just died of old age... But now, hearing there's an e-book planned regarding his death, I'm thinking that's probably not the case. XD It's be a very boring novella, if it were.

I like the idea of him dying from sickness. It'd be cool to see a mercy killing, though I'm not sure they'd put something like that in a kids' series.

I think we can definitely rule out old age, because Ravenpaw's Farewell takes place during Power of Three, apparently, and Dustpelt was still doing fine then.

Eh, each cat handles age differently, just like humans do. Regardless, I don't think Vicky knew when she said it, but she actually said Omen of the Stars for the arc, not Power of Three...so something tells me Ravenpaw is going to be super old.

Or maybe he leaves Barley and goes to the lake and gets hit by a car.

Nah, I kid. Vicky wouldn't do that to Ravenpaw- she loves him too much.

Ravenpaw probably caught greencough or something like that. The barn owners' were too late to save him, kinda like what happened to Floss. Although, how Barely was able to survive at his age is a marvel, especially with greencough on the horizon XD

I wouldn't be shocked if it was that...but at the same time, keep in mind who's writing this book. It's Vicky, and Ravenpaw is her favorite character- she's said this countless times. I'm expecting nothing less than an emotional feel trip.

Hmm, I'm not sure. They already had a barn fire in Shattered Peace, the first of three books in the Ravenpaw's Path graphic novels. I don't know if they'd try that again, but it wouldn't be too bad of an idea.
